We’re so excited to celebrate with you all this weekend. Here are a few reminders and details to make your experience a little bit smoother.

Friday Night Welcome Mixer

Our Friday Night Welcome Mixer is at Lockwood Distilling Co. located at 1411 W. Magnolia Avenue, Fort Worth, 76104. It is a come-and-go event from 8 - 11 pm. Drinks (alcoholic and non-) and light snacks will be provided. If you are coming with others, we encourage you to carpool. Trinity Metro (lines #4 and #6), the Southside ZipZone, and Uber/Lyft are additional options. If you are planning to drive, here are a few things you need to keep in mind about parking:

  • The parking lot at Lockwood Distilling Co. is very small. You may park there if you can find a spot, but it is very unlikely that you will. You can only park there if you plan to immediately go to Lockwood. The lot cannot be used for parking to visit other establishments.
  • Our recommendation would be to find street parking on the residential streets south of Magnolia (labeled green on the map linked below) or on Magnolia Avenue (labeled blue on the map). Use your best judgment, do not block anyone’s driveway and keep an eye out for signs that say “No Parking”. Rachel and Baer’s house (also labeled on the map) is just one street over from Lockwood. There are typically several open places to park on that street if you want to start there.
  • There is a big event happening Friday night at Magnolia Green (marked by the red X on the map) and the area will be very busy. Avoid that area if at all possible.

Saturday Evening Ceremony & Reception

The ceremony and reception are being held at the Fort Worth Zoo - Portraits of the Wild Art Gallery at 1989 Colonial Pkwy, Fort Worth, 76110. Please plan to arrive around 5:45 so that we may start the ceremony promptly at 6pm. There is plenty of parking directly outside the venue entrance, but the Southside ZipZone and Uber/Lyft are additional options. The reception will immediately follow the ceremony. Please keep in mind that Saturday is also TCU Homecoming, and this may impact traffic on University Drive as you make your way to the Zoo. Please plan accordingly.

Venue

We do at the zoo! Join us in the Portraits of the Wild Art Gallery at Fort Worth Zoo.

Walls lined with bamboo feature paintings of the African savanna from internationally acclaimed wildlife artist Wilhelm Kuhnert. This beautiful room opens to the natural ambiance of the Fort Worth Zoo on the gallery’s tree-shaded deck where we'll have our ceremony.

Travel

Plane

The nearest airport is Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport. Dallas Love Field (DAL) is also nearby.

Shared Ride

Staying close by? If so, consider taking a ride with ZipZone. The venue is within the Southside ZIPZONE which offers on-demand rides via an app. $3 per passenger per ride available Thursday-Saturday: 6 a.m.-midnight. Rides can only be booked between destinations in the zone.

Train

TEXRail connects DFW Terminal B to downtown Fort Worth and operates at a 30 min frequency most times of the day. One-way tickets are $2.50. TEXRail also connects to downtown Grapevine, another popular tourist destination.

For those driving to our ceremony, there will be plenty of free parking directly outside the event space.

Where To Stay

Here are some suggestions if you're looking for a place stay while in Fort Worth. Note: our venue is very close to TCU and the wedding is the same weekend as Homecoming.
